A new generation of talent in solar…

A new generation of talent, armed with new ideas, is emerging within the solar industry.

They’re younger, more driven and tech-savvy. They’re collaborative, curious and more passionate about solar power than ever before. They’re disrupting the status quo.

For 2018, Renewable Energy World will recognize 40 solar energy professionals under the age of 40 who are fearlessly challenging and changing traditional solar business models.

We invite you to nominate these solar influencers – your friends, peers, colleagues and partners – to be part of the inaugural class of Renewable Energy World’s Solar 40 Under 40.

Renewable Energy World’s Solar 40 Under 40 recognizes these individuals and their unparalleled accomplishments within the solar industry. Their mission is to bring solar to the 21st century and build on the roots of the solar industry and those who have come before them.

They are and will continue to be advocates for the solar industry. Each one is unique, shows a great deal of passion and has achieved accomplishments within the industry.

How are the candidates selected?

We have a group of judges from our advisory board – including solar energy professionals, industry association representatives, educators and editors from Renewable Energy World magazine. The group will convene in May and June 2018 to assess all the nominees. Judges will look at the merits of the candidates, weighing their achievements until they find forty candidates for the year.

What are the judges looking for?

The judges will look for nominees who have specific achievements in the solar energy industry. Therefore try to be as specific as possible when you are filling out the nomination or nominee completion form. Measurable achievements should be included and could include achievements such as contribution to successful projects, awards from associations or other groups or educational achievements. We know that many achievements aren’t easily quantified or acknowledged, so therefore give us as much detail as you can. The judges will also look for evidence of the nominee’s passion for solar.

Will I get a trophy?

Yes! Successful candidates will be presented with a trophy at Intersolar North America July 10-12, 2018. They will also receive an official certificate which can be framed. If you cannot attend the event, we will mail this to you.
